Bladen is a small Mayan village in the Bladen Forest Reserve. It is southwest of Placencia on the Southern Highway. The first shipment of books we sent to Belize went to the Bladen Roman Catholic School. At that time the school had just been built and has a palm thatched roof. The books we sent were the first books of their library.
The original school burned down and was rebuilt. Now there are two buildings and the palm thatched roofs are long gone. The school is still need of books, paper and writing tools.
